Andrew Harris's and my book 'Decoding Eurocode 7', which will be published by Taylor and Francis later this month, has finally gone to the printers. We will be contacting all those people who have pre-ordered the book shortly to confirm orders and arrange payment and delivery.

At long last, Andrew Harris and I have completed our book 'Decoding Eurocode 7' and have sent the manuscript to the publisher (Spon). We hope to get copies of the finished article in August.

'Decoding' book is on its way

It had to happen... Andrew Harris and I are finally getting around to writing a book on Eurocode 7 as we have been threatening to do for some time. We have 150 pages in the bag already and the remaining pages are coming a pace. The title of the book will be (no prizes for guessing) 'Decoding Eurocode 7'.

I plan to feature extracts from the book in this blog - with the hope that readers may provide feedback on the text and hence help us improve the quality of the book. Blackwell Publishing has published the 8th Edition of Smith's Elements of Soil Mechanics, which includes a number of worked examples to Eurocode 7.

Topics covered include partial factors, retaining walls, shallow foundations, pile foundations, and slopes.
